Severe weather can be unsettling. Being ready helps.
It can be stressful when the weather turns, especially if it affects your power. A few simple steps now can make things easier to manage, whatever happens next.
What to expect.
If your power goes off during a storm, we’ll always try and contact you to let you know what we’re doing to get your power back.
When it’s a major storm, it can be more difficult for us to be able to provide an estimated time for your power to be back, as:
- Storms can cause significant damage across large areas
- We often need to wait until weather conditions improve before we can fully assess the damage
- Access to the work may be affected by fallen trees, flooding, snow or other hazards
You can get updates for your area online or by calling us on 105. As soon as we have an estimated time for the power to be back, we will let you know.
